Carolyn Street
Augusta, Georgia - Under Construction
Set on a heavily wooded site, the house was designed for a family who entertain guests visiting during the Masters Tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club. The owners wanted their home to strike a sharp contrast between the building and its surroundings. The exterior is a composition of white geometric solids and voids punctuated by wood plank panels, windows, and large folding doors. Terraces and balconies provide views of the surrounding pine forest, and a full width patio steps down to the pool deck. The ground floor is organized around a central switch back stair leading to a wrap around overlook on the upper floor.
